Requirements

• Current State of Michigan paramedic license
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Paramedic experience in an active advanced life support EMS system
• Basic trauma life support and current advanced cardiac life support certificates
• Effective verbal and communications skills
• Must be willing to work 12 or 24-hour shifts or on-call systems, including nights, weekend, and/or holidays
• Must be willing to adapt "shift-run-over" into personal lifestyle
• CPR, B&LS

Specialties

Opportunities are available to work in hospital or function as a member of North Flight assisting with calls in the community.

Scholarships

$2,500 tuition reimbursement per calendar year is available. Must be actively employed and working within Munson Healthcare system to receive this benefit. Guidelines are defined in Munson Medical Center's Tuition Reimbursement policy.

Additional scholarship funds may be available.

Specific Duties

• Part of professional medical crew responsible for initial patient assessment and treatment in emergent, non-emergent, pre-hospital, and inter-hospital patient care situations
  
• Performs life saving functions
  
• Implements appropriate medical protocols; recognizes and communicates pertinent changes in health status to online medical control

Salary Expectations

$12.49 - $18.01 per hour
